2026 Westchester Little League Spring Season

Registration for Westchester Little League’s 2026 Spring Season is now open for boys and girls whose birth dates fall between 9/1/2013 and 8/31/2021!

If you register by December 31, 2025, you’re eligible for a $25 early-bird discount. There’s an additional $25 discount if your child played during the fall season with us. Receive a $30 discount for any additional sibling after the first is registered.

Registration will officially close on January 18, 2026.

**Players under league age 8 are eligible to participate in any Little League program, regardless of zoning. If you do not live within WLL boundaries, please select any school from the dropdown during registration.**

DIVISIONS

A: Coach pitch, very developmental. Typically for league age 4 to 6 players.

AA: A mix of coach and kid pitch. Typically for league age 7 and 8 players.

Minors: Kid pitch only, with division specific rules to help keep the game flow moving. Typically for league age 9 and 10 players.

Majors: Follows very closely to the Little League National Rule Book. Typically for league age 11 and 12 players.

Player division determination is based on the player’s age and skill level. You can find the Little League 2026 age chart here. Evaluations to confirm division assignments will be held starting in December at Westchester Park.

PRACTICES & GAMES

A Division: One practice and one game per week (though managers may elect to add extra batting practices throughout the season); generally 12 games per season (no playoffs), barring rainouts.

All events are played at Nielsen Park.

AA, Minors and Majors Divisions: Two practices per week (one batting, one fielding); 12-18 regular season games and two guaranteed playoff games.

In the Majors and Minors divisions, the regular season will include games against other nearby Little Leagues. Last year, for example, we played games against teams from Wiseburn, Inglewood, Hollypark, Ladera Heights and Manhattan Beach.

Most games are played at Carl E. Nielsen Youth Park; some, however, will be played “on the road” against other leagues. All away games are within a 10- to 15-minute drive of Carl E. Nielsen Youth Park.

Games take place throughout the week and weekend, and every team in the AA, Minors and Majors divisions has one fielding practice and one batting practice per week (times and days are variable per division and team). Some of those practices may take place at Westchester Park, but most will be at Carl E. Nielsen Youth Park.

Practices will begin in early February. Opening Day will be in late February/early March, and the season will run through mid-June.

As part of registration, each player will receive:

Up to three free preseason clinics or bootcamps in January (early registration guarantees three clinics, clinic availability will vary after December 31, 2025)
Personalized jersey and team hat
Yearbook, trophy and the league’s base photo package
WLL batting helmet/water-bottle sticker

MEDICAL RELEASE

A signed medical release is required to participate in any Westchester Little League activities — that includes clinics and evals. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

VOLUNTEERS

New this year, all volunteers must be registered in Sports Connect. Please create a Sports Connect account for all caregivers who will be helping with the team or the League! A background check will be sent to each volunteer to confirm eligibility.
