Hello Westchester Little League Families,

We had to do a lot of preparation to be allowed to start and we have guidelines and protocols in place we MUST follow. Failure to adhere to these guidelines and protocols may cause the program to be shut down and put our kids at risk. There was a lot of information that you received during registration, but we wanted to highlight the key protocols. We know this is a lot of information, but please read all the way through. The safety of your family is our highest priority.


  • While at the field everyone is required to wear facemasks.
  • Maintain social distancing of 6 feet at a minimum and 20 feet from any group at the field, unless you have been designated to assist the Coach
  • Minimize the number of people coming to the field. No friends and should only be immediate family members living in the same dwe lling (one parent/guardian per player is preferred)
  • If your child has any of the following symptom, please keep them at home and do not bring them to the field:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Congestion or Runny Nose
    • Shortness of Breath
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Sore Throat
    • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
    • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • If you have come in contact with anyone who tested positive for covid in the last two weeks do not come to the field
  • Bathrooms have been updated to be touchless
  • The bleachers are closed, so if you plan on staying, please bring your own seating
  • Benches by the batting cages have been marked with where players should sit and are for participants only


  • Players sit 6 feet apart anywhere on the field or at the batting cages. Extra seating has been added where needed.
  • Safety protocols will include:
    • Using hand sanitizer or washing with soap upon entering the field.
    • Wearing a face masks at all times.
    • Not sharing any equipment and touching/handling only your own equipment.
      • ‚Äč At minimum players should come to the field with their own glove, bat and batting helmet
      • It is preferred that all players planning to play or learn the position of catcher bring his/her own catcher gear 
    • No eating, chewing gum or spitting in the dugout or cages.
    • No handshakes, high fives, fist bumps or any other personal contact will be allowed between players/coaches.



  • Coaches will wear facemasks at all times.
  • Coaches will stay at least six feet away from players and any assistants.
  • Any assistants will have to follow same protocol as the Coaches.



  • Everyone over the age of 2 will need to wear a face covering while at Nielsen field.
  • Spectators should practice social distancing of at least 6 feet from anyone not in their immediate family/household while watching.
  • It is preferred that only one parent/guardian attend the session with their child, but at maximum, only immediate family members who live in the same household/dwelling of players will be allowed to attend.
  • Spectators should maintain a distance of at least 20 feet from area with activity (i.e., field, cages and entrance).
  • Spectators should bring their own seating for watching the clinics.
  • Field prep and break down will be handled by the coaches and assistants only.



  • Snack stand sales will not be allowed (players, coaches, and spectators will need to bring their own snacks and drinks).
  • A parent or guardian should escort their player to the restroom and should either go in with them or remain right outside the door.
  • High-touch locations at the field, including, but not limited to, bathrooms, bleachers, dugouts and gates will be cleaned and disinfected between each session and after the last session.
